Abstract. A study of skin mast cell functional activity in cotton pellet-induced chronic inflammation has been provided. The data suggest that the general mast cell reaction to the impact is their migration from places of formation and deposition to the skin. Chronic inflammation also causes the activation of mast cell heparin secretion in inflammation focus and in the skin away from granuloma, which is accompanied by an increase of granulolysis. Out research data support the hypothesis of the universality of the mast cell population response to impact of various kinds.
