The publication is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor). The mass media registration certificate is PI №77-15434 dated May 19, 2003; reregistered in 2011 due to changes in the Founders Board. The mass media registration certificate is PI №FS77-46390 dated September 1, 2011. 

The record on registration of the media was amended by the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media in connection with the change in the composition founders, changing the name, changing the form of periodic dissemination of mass information, changing the territory of distribution, clarifying the subject matter, changing the specialization, changing the name of the founder — registration number El No. FS77-79336 dated October 09, 2020

The Journal of Ural Medical Academic Science publishes articles dedicated to the most topical issues, scientific reviews, lectures, reflecting the most important achievements in the main sections of the fundamental and applied research, and advanced clinical experience in the fields of medicine and biology.

Following the decision adopted by the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Committee of the RF Ministry of Education and Science, the journal is included in the list of the leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, where major scientific results of dissertations for the two doctoral level scientific degrees (Doctor of Sciences and Candidate of Sciences) should be published.

All articles undergo the process of reviewing. The leading scientists of the Ural-Siberian region collaborate with the journal as reviewers. To minimize potential reviewer bias, the journal uses double-blind peer review. 

Periodicity: 4 times a year.

Volume: is 100-150. A4

The publication places the electronic version of the journal online at elibrary.ru (Scientific Electronic Library). Abstracts, keywords, author information in the Russian and the English languages, and full-text versions of articles in Russian are freely available. The journal issues are also posted on this website under ʺArchiveʺ.
