Abstract.
The morphofunctional parameters of the spleen in systemic chronic herpes virus infection were studied experimentally in vivo. It was established that in the course of a chronic viral process evident activation of splenocyte phagocetosis occurred. Continuous viral load resulted in depression of the proliferative spleen function, which was manifested as a threefold decrease in the organ cellularity index. A simultaneous veracious 1,97-fold increase in the organ weight index (p< 0,05) due to excrescence of the connective tissue elements of the spleen stroma was documented. The morphometric changes in the spleen parameters in systemic chronic herpes virus infection were confirmed by histodiagnosis.
Key words:
