Abstract.
The paper presents the results of a retrospective analysis of 350 patients suffering from drug therapy acute obstructive pyelonephritis against urolithiasis. Patients were divided into 3 groups according to the designated anti-bacterial drug. The object of the study was the time that has elapsed since the beginning of starting antibiotic treatment until cured by standard clinical criteria. The average time of remission in patients with pyelonephritis treated with ciprofloxacin was 8,5±2,2 days, which is significantly lower than in patients treated with ceftriaxone and meropenem. These data confirm the results of earlier studies in vitro, according to which the fluoroquinolones for acute infectious-inflammatory process suppresses production of IL-4 to stimulate the production of interleukin 10 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha, which is favorable in general, positive, and is not dependent on the state of renal function. While meropenem is less bright immunological effects in comparison with ciprofloxacin. Thus, an additional selection criterion antibiotic drug may be time to achieve remission.
