Embryoscopy and Genetic Screening: Causes of the Early Pregnancy Loss

Abstract.
One of the main causes of early pregnancy loss is a chromosome anomaly of an embryo. The analysis of 69 cases of missed abortion before 12 weeks is carried out. Patients were divided into 2 groups: with natural conception and pregnancies after the assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Embryoscopy and direct chorion biopsy were done in all cases. Karyotyping was performed for all samples of the chorionic villi. High frequency of abnormal karyotypes in missed abortion is found: 69,6% and 63,1%, respectively.
