Abstract.
The article generalizes and systematizes the data of the literature about endometriosis as one of the reasons of low fertility. This disease have always been the subject of controversy. There are many doubts about the utility of medical or surgical treatment in women with endometriosis, who are preparing for a cycle of IVF. The authors review the literature to define the role of surgery in treatment of endometriosis before IVF. The clinical case of surgical treatment of external genital endometriosis in the programs of preparation for IVF is described also.
