Abstract.
The experiment was carried out on 95 outbreed rats. Acute myocardial infarction in rats was induced by left coronary artery coagulation. Derivates of 3-aminophthalhydrazide were used as a modulator of the macrophage activity. Histological study of the myocardium sections and biochemical assays have been carried out on the 1, 5, 7, 14 and 21 days after experimental myocardial infarction. The studies have shown that the modulation of macrophage activity with the derivatives of 3-aminophthalhydrazide reduced the severity of exudative — destructive phase of inflammation in response to injury, which appeared to lessen the area of necrosis in the myocardium.
