Abstract.
The study of survival of newborn infants with multiple organ failure (MOF) showed that mortality up to the one year of life in this group was 29.1% and survivalamounted to 70.9%.The probability of survival up to the one year of life in newborns with MOF was 0.71. The highest survival rate observed among term infants with MOF with a gestational age of 37–41 weeks, and also in preterm infants with gestational age of 28–32 weeks, the probability of survival up to the one year of life in infants of these group was 0.75. In preterm infants with gestational age 33–36 weeks, the probability of survival up to one year of life amounted to 0.6. And lowest survival rate observed in extremely premature infants with MOF, with gestational age 26–27 weeks, the probability of survival to the one year of life they amounted to 0.57. The greatest risk of fatal outcomes observed at the beginning of the disease in the first 2 months of life. The relative risk of death among children under one year of life with MOF amounted to 0.72 with a significance level р<0.0001.
