Abstract.
In this study we compared the effect of emoxipine, reamberin and mexidol on rats behavior in «the open field». Amitriptyline and alpha-lipoic acid were used as reference substances. We established the presence of psychotropic effect in all studied medications. The most pronounced effect on rats behavior in «the open field» was demonstrated by the minimal doses of 3-oxypyridine and succinic acid. Meanwhile, the isolated 3-oxypyridine derivative (emoxipine) or isolated succinic acid derivative (reamberin) stimulated motion behavior and exploratory-orientational activity and inhibited autonomic manifestations of anxiety in rats. Combination drug of 3-oxypyridine and succinic acid (mexidol) increased only motion and exploratory behaviors in rats in «the open field».
Key words:
3-oxypyridine and succinic acid derivatives, motivated behavior.
