Abstract. Here we report on autonomic status using statistic and spectral parameters of heart rate variability (HRV) of 23 young females (19,9±1,4 years) under varied environmental and physical conditions: 4 phases of the menstrual cycle (MC, early and late follicular, the ovulation, and the luteal), spring and autumn seasons. Taken separately, either factor of MC phase or season imposed only minor effect on HRV, but most of the variables of HRV were significantly different from other phases in the ovulation phase in spring season in a form of decrease of the parasympathetic nervous system activity with reciprocal increase of the hormone¬hypothalamic level of cardiovascular regulation.

Key words: menstrual cycle, season, electrocardiography, heart rate variability, spectral and statistic analysis.
