Abstract.
Inspite of the difficulties in demographic situation in Arkhangelsk region, the positive medical-demographic trends were found in present study. The main achivements like birthrate increase, mortality descrease and positive tendencies in decreasing of general and primary morbidity were observed among children and adolescents. Since 2011 year, general morbidity decreased in 8 % among newborns, 2% among children of first year of age and 4,3% among 15-17 year-olds, respectively. General morbidity decreased in 21% among 0-14 age group, and 7,5% among 15-17 age group, respectively. Inspite of these positive trends, regional figures are still higher than the national, that is a need to be concerned in formulating a new regional health system model.
