Abstract. The purpose of this study was to analyze the frequency, structure and outcomes of treatment of patients with hypothermia, hospitalized in the Department of intensive care (ICU) for patients with thermal trauma. Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis of the results of treatment of 25 patients with hypothermia (T. 68, hypothermia (accidental) according to ICD-10) hospitalized in the ICU of the Republican hospital № 2-Emergency Medical Center (RH №2-EMC) in Yakutsk in 2017-2018. The study included patients with rectal temperature (trect) below 350C on admission to the hospital. Statistical data processing included the determination of mean and standard deviations of parameters. Results and discussion. It was established that 25 patients with hypothermia were treated in ICU RH №2-EMC in 2017-2018, which is 35.2% of the total number of patients with acute period of cold injury. Mild hypothermia (trect-32-35°C) was observed in 16 (64.0%), medium (trect-28-32°C) in 6 (24%) and severe (trect<28°C) in 3 (12%) patients. Along hypothermia, all patients had frostbite of various segments of the limbs, among which frostbite of II-III-IV degree was observed in 20 (80.0%) patients. As a result of frostbite, in 86.7% of cases amputations of limbs at different levels were performed. The average number of days spent by patients with hypothermia in the ICU was 6.0±3.9 days. A total of 2 (2.8%) victims with cold injury who arrived in the pre-active period died during the study period. There were no fatal outcomes in patients with hypothermia. Conclusion. Thus, the presented data indicate the importance of studying the issues of cold injury, the development of clinical guidelines for their diagnosis and intensive care, based on the data of modern scientific research and practical experience.
