Abstract. Relevance. Among doctors of different specialties (dermatologists, oncologists, cosmetologists, therapists), there is often a clinical stereotype that associates the degree of pigmentation of the skin with its malignancy, but does not take into account the possibility of developing non-pigmentary forms of melanoma. These cases are complex for visual clinical and standard dermatoscopy diagnostics. Description of the clinical case. We provide our own observation of a clinical case of a pigment-free melanoma of the thigh skin in a 45-year-old patient, which is of interest due to the rapid appearance, with a diameter of only 4 mm, of an atypical clinical picture. Neoplasm was studied using the method of spectrophotometric intradermal analysis. There was a lack of a clear structure and an increase in the vascular pattern around the neoplasm. Conclusion. For the diagnosis of pigment-free forms of skin melanoma, there is a need to use additional non-invasive methods to study neoplasms, such as digital dermatoscopy and spectrophotometric intradermal analysis.
