Abstract. Aim of the Study. To present clinical observations of various variants of CNS lesions during HIV infection of outpatients observed and treated in the Sverdlovsk Regional AIDS Prevention and Control Center, a state autonomous healthcare institution of the Sverdlovsk Region (hereinafter referred to as GAUSE SO «OC AIDS»), which indicate the complexity and need for interdisciplinary interaction of narrow specialists with sufficient competencies in the field of HIV infection, for the timely differential diagnosis when making a final diagnosis. Materials and methods. Descriptions of clinical observations of three HIV-patients with brain lesion against the background of HIV infection, the results of instrumental and laboratory diagnostics are presented. Results and conclusion. Patients with progressive of HIV infection, CNS (central nervous system) lesion may be associated with a wide range of etiological factors. Making a diagnosis for an outpatient infectiologist is challenging and requires a comprehensive examination of the patient. The main causes of CNS lesion are usually directly related to the infectious factor. But in addition to determining the etiology of the infectious process, tumor lesion to the brain should be ruled out in a timely manner.
