Abstract. Individualization of therapy as part of evidence-based medicine is a very important aspect in the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). ACS treatment should be started in the intensive care unit; treatment efficacy directly correlates with prognostic indicators. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of different beta-blockers (βAB) (metoprolol and carvedilol) on the course of ACS and observing the dynamics of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP). The study included 156 patients with ACS. At the first stage to study the effect of different doses of intravenous metoprolol on hemodynamics and BNP in patients with ACS. In the second stage the data obtained in the application of metoprolol were retrospectively compared with the results of the data obtained during therapy with acridilol in patients with ACS. In the comparative analysis of indicators of BNP we have not received a statistically significant difference between the groups. Revealed that some patients with ACS to achieve the desired hemodynamic and “clinical peace” enough small and medium doses βAB.
