Abstract. Health maintainance require tuned work of immune system and normal functioning of its key elements lymphocytes which use glucose for processes necessary for cells activity. Blood samples were collected from 57 volunteers for analyzing different plasma biochemical parameters and ATP concentrations in lymphocytes. The direct associations observed between ATP concentrations in lymphocytes and plasma lactate levels may reflect the adaptive reorganization of metabolic processes aimed to activation of glycolysis in cells. We proposed the model describing the dependence of energy supply from glycolytic activity.
Keywords: adaptation, metabolites, glycolysis, ATP, lymphocytes.
