Abstract. It is known that the action of extreme factors on the body in the peripheral blood changes the hemoglobin profile. However, it remains unclear whether this phenomenon is the result of the effect of the damaging factor on circulating blood cells or reflects changes in hematopoiesis. From these positions, it is of interest to study the ratio of isoforms of bone marrow hemoglobin to perturbed erythropoiesis. The aim of the study was to study the hemoglobin spectrum of bone marrow of rats with posthemorrhagic anemia — 2.0–2.5% of the body weight of the animal (35–40% of the bcc). Materials and methods. Studies were performed on rats of the Wistar line. A general blood test was performed on a Celly 70 hematology analyzer. The mean diameter of the red blood cells was determined using a Lasco T- (D) laser microparticle analyzer. The mean diameter of erythrocytes and cells containing fetal forms of hemoglobin was assessed using a Leica DM 2500 microscope and an image analysis program. VideoTest Morphology 5.2. Bone marrow smears were stained with Romanovsky-Giemsa stain, then typing of cells for 500 myelokaryocytes was performed. Protein fractions of blood hemoglobin and bone marrow were determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis using the method of G. Maurer. Results. Analysis of the data showed that the recovery of red blood cell content in peripheral blood of rats after extreme exposure is directly related to qualitative changes. Thus, the average diameter of the erythrocytes of rats increases for both periods with posthemorrhagic anemia in comparison with the group of intact animals. The average diameters of reticulocytes and cells containing fetal forms of hemoglobin increase at an early date after hemorrhage. The erythrocyte diameter continues to increase for a long time, and the diameter of the reticulocytes and cells, with fetal hemoglobin decreases, approaching the index of intact rats. In acute massive blood loss at an early stage, pronounced changes in the hemoglobin profile of the bone marrow are observed, which is reflected in the significant growth of 5, 6 protein fractions of hemoglobin and a decrease in the 3 isoforms. At a later date, 1, 4 and 6 protein fractions of hemoglobin increase with decreasing 2, 3 isoforms. Conclusions. 1. Activation of erythropoiesis in posthemorrhagic anemia is characterized by an increase in the peripheral blood of large erythrocytes with a predominance of hemoglobin of acid-fast 5, 6 protein fractions and a decrease in the 3 isoforms. 2. Young cells from the bone marrow to the peripheral blood (reticulocytes and cells containing fetal forms of hemoglobin) are larger in size and as they mature, the diameter of these cells decreases. The young cells entering the peripheral blood are not only characterized by large dimensions, but also differ from the mature hemoglobin profile. 3. The change in the hemoglobin profile of peripheral blood erythrocytes after hemorrhage is the result, on the one hand, of erythrodieresis, and on the other hand, the activation of erythropoiesis in the hematopoietic tissue.
