Abstract. The aim of experimental research was to study the effect of combined transplantation of placental multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells and hematopoietic stem cells on morphometric parameters of the spleen in conditions of exposure to ionizing radiation. Materials and methods. Preparation of cell culture MMSC and GSK were made from the chorion of the placenta in laboratory animals. We studied the effects of ionizing radiation at a dose of 4.0 oz. The animals in the test subgroup was injected intravenously suspension MMSC and GSK respectively at a dose of 6 million cells/kg and 330 thousand cells/kg, the control sub-group was injected 0.9% NaCl — 0.2 ml intravenously. Intravenous administration was performed 1 hour after exposure once. Evaluation of regenerative processes in the red and white pulp of the spleen was carried out to determine the morphometric parameters. The results of the study. After exposure to ionizing radiation on the background of the introduction of stem cells marked by increase in size of lymphoid follicle due to the increase of the area of the B zone of the follicle. Also the increase in the density of cells in the red pulp of the spleen due to the increase in the content of erythroid cells and leukocytes, increasing the distance between the centers of lymphoid follicles. Conclusions. Combined transplantation of multipotent mesenchymal stromal and hematopoietic stem cells after exposure to ionizing radiation leads to the increase in the size of lymphoid follicles of the spleen, increasing the density of cells in red pulp.
