Resume. The problem of HIV infection remains relevant among both adults and children. Adherence to clinical follow-up and treatment among minors infected with the human immunodeficiency virus is largely determined by their immediate social environment. The aim of the study was to identify the medical, psychological, social, economic and other aspects of the life of adolescents with a diagnosis of HIV infection that affect adherence to follow-up and treatment. Materials and methods. A voluntary anonymous survey of the inner circle of adolescents with HIV infection was conducted, the questionnaire included 47 questions. 115 people took part in the survey. Statistical processing of the results was carried out using the IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0 program. Results. The study identified the features of the inner circle of adolescents with HIV infection: a ranking was conducted by age, education level, employment, income, marital status, availability of their own housing, HIV diagnosis and health attitude. Conclusions. Statistically significant differences were revealed in the observation groups formed as a result of the study: parents of adolescents with HIV infection and caregivers. Among parents of adolescents with HIV infection, risky behaviors (alcohol and narcotic use), as well as avoidance of taking antiretroviral drugs, are more pronounced. There is a need to develop comprehensive programs for the formation of persistent adherence to antiretroviral drugs, taking into account the medical and social factors of the immediate environment, which will reduce the frequency of self-refusal of adolescents with HIV from follow-up after reaching the age of majority. One of the stages of this work is the work of specialists from the Centers for the Prevention and Control of AIDS to identify environmental factors that have a negative impact on the emerging psychological attitude of adolescents with HIV infection to their diagnosis.
