Abstract. Pregnant women with obesity (megacity residents) form the group of high risk in the development of complications during gestational period and during pathologic parturition. We investigated 96 pregnant women at the age of 23 to 34 and their newborn babies. 62% women with obesity had complications in overburdening obstetric and gynecologic anamnesis. Atherogenic lipids profile and decrease of protein exchange promotes processes of the adiposity, aggravating a pathological current gestation and the postnatal period.
