Abstract. Determination was carried out in a mixed cord blood and venous blood newborns on day 1 of life in 115 infants biochemical indicators to assess endothelial function and blood vessels of the umbilical cord of newborns. Revealed that but newborns born to mothers with preeclampsia, there is endothelial damage, as evidenced by an increase in the number of blood desquamated endo teliotsitov. Violations of vascular wall permeability, manifested by reduced concentrations of vascular endothelial growth factor and VE-cadherin, as well as increase in the content of metalloproteinase-9, reflecting damage to the basement membrane of blood vessels.
Keywords: postnatal adaptation of newborns, endothelium, umbilical cord, vascular permeability, preeclampsia
