Abstract.

In the thymus, obtained in the course of comparison of different age groups, and data on changes of morphology of the authority and the state of the population mast cells in it, testify to the possibility of their participation in the process of involution. As in the thymus the increase in the number of mast cells in aging and strengthening their functional activity emissions granules, on the background of involutive processes of the body. Mast cells, probably, shall carry out regulatory effect on the microenvironment of a thymus gland, mainly, on the connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), resulting in increased synthesis of their fibrous structures and gradual degeneration of the body.
