Abstract. The priority research directions of the Ural State Medical University are presented, ensuring the development of medical science and the preservation of public health; attraction of talented youth to the scientific work; interaction of the educational process, healthcare practice, scientific and innovative experience; the formation of an innovative worldview and the development of research skills among students and young scientists.
