Abstract. On the basis of literature data and results of own researches in the article the authors consider the questions of the pathogenesis of the formation and development of several pathological processes associated with exposure to stressors. Special attention is given to post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain syndromes, stress-induced cardiovascular disease and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Put forward the concept of the sequence of onset of clinical variants of stress-induced pathology with the gradual formation of the complex pathological systems. The central link of this system – post-traumatic stress disorder, which identifies violations of regulatory mechanisms in the central nervous system and neuroendocrine system. Link peripheral – somatic pathology and chronic pain syndromes.
Keywords: pathogenesis, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, deregulation
