Abstract.
Relevance. Gastroenterological comorbid pathology in patients with COPD has been described in 3–47 % and 90.9 % of cases. At the same time there are very divergent results of clinical and morphological studies of gastroduodenal zone in patients with COPD in the literature and no evidence of pathology enteroendocrine system in these patients and the results of its correction. Clinical feature of this case was the absence of expressed subjective manifestations of gastroduodenal pathology in patient with severe COPD and detection significant structural changes of the mucous membrane in the morphological and immunohystological study. Conclusion. Severe COPD is characterized by comorbid morphological changes of gastroduodenal zone, including dysfunction of serotonin producing apudocytes, accompanied with hyperserotoninemia. These data indicate the need for antiserotonin drugs would be included in treatment.

Key words:
сhronic obstructive pulmonary disease, serotonin producing apudocytes, antiserotonin drugs
