Abstract.
International legal regulation of research in the field of cell technology is a complex and controversial issue for both states and international organizations. The main difficulty lies in the presence of different points of view on the issue within individual countries and within individual cultures. Approaches to legal regulation of cellular technologies vary widely from the absence of any regulation to a total ban on research in the field of stem cells. Some states have adopted strict restrictions, while others, on the contrary, provided financial support for stem cell research. The paper presents the existing options of legal regulation of cell technologies in different countries and at the international level.
