Abstract. A study of sex differences of brain activity in northern children 9-10 years in different seasons. The greatest changes between boys and girls identified on spectral characteristics of EEG during the autumn-winter period. The total power delta rhythm prevalence in boys in autumn and the total power of theta rhythm increase in girls in winter. The findings suggest that gender differences qualitative morphological and functional maturation of the central nervous system due to adaptation to extreme environmental conditions.
