Abstract. The use of new biocompatible materials in surgery is of very practical importance. Therefore, the purpose of the experimental study was to study the biocompatibility of the aluminum-zirconium implant, the advantage of which is the possibility of bone germination in the porous structure of the prosthesis. The design of the study consisted in conducting a series of experiments on rabbits in which an aluminum-zirconium implant was installed, using the substitution method, into the tibia. On days 30 and 60, x-ray studies of the operated bone were performed, and on day 1, 3, 7, and 10, the levels of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF in the blood plasma were monitored, after removing the magnesium sulphate solution from the animals by intracardiac administration. against the background of the general xylazine-zoletilovogo narcosis, studied the morphological picture of the slice at the border of the bone-implant. As a result of the experiment, it was found that after resection of the tibial bone area and the implant installation, it behaves inert to the latter, resulting in the absence of hypertrophied callus, a calm interleukin background during the observation period, the absence of histological signs of excessive inflammation both at 30 and 60 days of research. A clear tendency to penetrate into the pores of the prosthesis, first collagen, then cartilage, and then bone tissue was found.
