Abstract. A single session of heart rate variability biofeedback (HRV ) parameters in order to enhance vagal effects on heart rhythm and determining of the serum levels interleukin -6 and interleukin -10 in 79 persons (healthy and hypertensive 1-2 degrees) were carried out. During HRV biofeedback session and after the patients with levels of IL-6 less than the lower quartile in the sample (less than 5 pg/ml) revealed deficiency reserves of cardiac vagal regulation — lower total spectrum power of heart rate variability and a higher stress-index than in those with levels of IL-6 more than 5 pg/ml. The maximum reduction in vagal reserves expressed in individuals with hypertension and the level of IL-6 less than 5 pg/ml. Whatever the level of initial blood pressure in people with the level of IL-6 less than 5 pg/ml showed the greatest number of people with unsuccessful result of the biofeedback session.
