Abstract.

Human papillomavirus infection is the most common sexually transmitted infection. Most often the human papilloma virus infects young women of reproductive age. Currently, this infection is considered an etiological factor for cervical cancer, which is the main cause of cancer death among women of reproductive age. This review presents a modern view of the etiology and pathogenesis of human papillomavirus, which will help to understand the mechanisms of malignant transformation of cells when infected with HPV. Just reflects the role of estrogen in the pathogenesis of human papillomavirus.
