Abstract.
The satisfaction of the population with medical care is becoming an important indicator of the effectiveness of the healthcare system. The purpose of the work: on the basis of a comprehensive assessment, to establish regional characteristics of indicators of public satisfaction with medical care in the Sverdlovsk region in terms of the introduction of a new model of a medical organization providing primary health care. Materials and methods. For the period 2017-2022, data from insurance medical organizations on population satisfaction were studied as part of the introduction of a New model of a medical organization providing primary health care. The database of a sociological survey of 3,666 people conducted by insurance medical organizations of the Sverdlovsk region in the period from August 2022 to January 2023 was analyzed. The work uses mathematical, statistical, and analytical methods, the Mann-Whitney criterion was used to assess the significance of differences between two independent groups, and the Kraskel-Wallis criterion was used for three or more groups. Results. As part of the introduction of a New model of a medical organization providing primary health care, patient satisfaction rates increased with the length of waiting for an appointment with a doctor, the attitude of attending physicians, the result of visiting a district doctor, but the assessments related to the medical examination worsened. The low satisfaction rates of the population of the Sverdlovsk region relate to the convenience of making an appointment with a doctor and the waiting time for medical services. The analysis of the significance of differences in estimates of population satisfaction between the groups of respondents, depending on their gender, age, and district of residence, was carried out. When receiving medical care from a medical organization, 23.3% of respondents indicated an insufficient number of doctors and specialists, 13.3% — a long waiting time for an appointment with a doctor, etc. In general, for the region, 19.4% of respondents also noted a shortage of doctors and specialists, 13.2% — insufficient equipment with medical equipment, 12.5% — long life expectancy. Conclusion. The identified problems in the process of providing medical care characterize the general trends of the personnel situation in healthcare, problems of accessibility of medical care, financing of the healthcare system and require comprehensive improvement measures at the regional level.
