Abstract. Modulation of the macrophage activity in rats with alloxan diabetes caused a decrease of the total number of leukocytes and the lymphocyte fraction of peripheral blood as well as lymphocyte precursors in the bone marrow and was accompanied with correction of characteristic diabetic parameters — glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and insulin.
